Who we are

About Project Ducky

PROJECT DUCKY exists to support American volunteers who served in the war in Ukraine — and the families who carry the cost long after the fighting ends.

Since 2022, hundreds of U.S. volunteers traveled to Ukraine to fight, train, evacuate civilians, and support defensive operations. Many returned home changed. Some did not return at all. Their families were left navigating loss, distance, bureaucracy, and silence — often without a support system that understood what they had given or why.

Project Ducky was created to close that gap.

We focus on practical, immediate support, not symbolism. That includes assistance with repatriation, family support for the fallen, and aid for veterans returning home who are navigating the aftermath of war without institutional backing.

The organization is named in memory of Nick — call sign “Ducky” — a friend, teammate, and American volunteer killed in action. His loss was not abstract. It was personal. Project Ducky exists to ensure that no family or volunteer is left alone simply because their service happened outside traditional systems.

We operate with the same values that guided those who went:

  • accountability

  • loyalty

  • quiet competence

  • and taking care of our own

No politics. No spectacle. Just responsibility.
